LBD again?

I have a few events coming up which are sort of Black-Tie, sort of cocktail dress, sort of chic and glamorous dress codes.  Not so easy to decide what to wear, and that is just for the girls...almost as tricky for the guys when it is not a suit event ... the whole jeans or chinos or what the heck to wear! But we will save that dilemma for another time.

Today we are going to see what is about for the girls...

Being very keen on black, I am always tempted to add yet another LBD to my wardrobe, despite it not being one of my colours! I figure it works with some extra make-up etc? One of my favourite places for this kind of dress has to be All Saints. It must be said that I am definitely a more casual dresser and their funky but chic style calls to me. You can also always be tempted by their moody palette of wines, greens and blues to deter you from going down the black road again.  At present I would be hard pushed to choose between the following - all of which I would pair with VERY high heeled sandals, red lips and clashing clutch purse...

Personally I prefer above the knee length (and no tights) and not too figure hugging as I am far too lazy to be bothered with any form of shape wear underneath!

For a slightly more formal look I would be tempted by these...
